Attention Swimmers 5-18 years old!
The Rye YMCA Wave Ryeders swim team is now taking registrations for the 2015/2016 noncompetitive and competitive swim team for qualified swimmers. The Wave Ryeders have been League Champions for 10 years in a row and have had many state champions at the largest YMCA State meets.
Being part of the Wave Ryeder team gives participants of different speeds, abilities, and swimming experience a chance to swim together competitively. Competitive swimming is a challenging but FUN sport for children. Our team focuses on the fundamentals of swimming and teamwork while creating a love for swimming and instilling our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in our swimmers.
For more information or to schedule a tryout for your child please contact Aquatics Director, Vickie Kourtelis at Vickie@ryeymca.org or (914) 967-6363 ext. 108.

Members entering the Rye Y’s newly renovated spin studio are immediately struck by the difference. Diamond-plate wall paneling, recessed LED lighting, new fans, wooden shelving and an improved sound system all create a welcoming environment for spinners. Laura Tiedge, Rye Y’s Senior Director of Healthy Living said “Spinning is one of the Y’s most popular classes so we wanted to create a clean, fresh and inviting atmosphere that motivates and excites our members.”
The Rye Y offers dozens of spin classes weekly – appropriate for novices and experienced spinners. Please click here to view the current schedule.
