Casey Kantarian’s “story,” in her own words……
Dear Tom,
How has your year been? Hope you’re well and that you are getting excited for Summer Camp!
I wanted to thank you for writing my recommendation to the sleep away camp I applied to. During my interview, the Director of
Camp Nubar said that my recommendation was amazing. I have been accepted to work there this summer as a Cabin Leader, head counselor.
I will miss the YMCA camp very much and I am very thankful for the many years and great experiences that will always stick with me for the rest of my life. Working at the YMCA has given me the confidence to use the skills and experiences that I have gathered from working with different people and different children. I will take my excitement and devotion that I had at the YMCA and use it to my best ability in the future.
Thank you for believing in me and giving me a positive attitude towards my work habits. (I will have to let you know how I feel about the difference between day camp and sleep away camp.) I also wanted to let you know that years from now, I will be telling my children about my first job, my first experience in the work force at the YMCA. It has always been like a second home, and I will always love walking into the YMCA and looking for you in your office just to say hello.
Once again, thank you for all your help.
