RYE Y GYMNAST PLACES FIRST AT USAG MEET
RYE, NY (November 10, 2009) The Rye YMCA gymnastic team was not scared off by the tough competition from nine other
teams at the Halloween themed November 8 USAG Fright Invite competition in Plainview, New York. Miffy Riley placed first all around and was awarded a Witch’s Hat. Riley, Debby Musselman and Lindsey Will were awarded trophies capped with golden pumpkins and medals festooned with pumpkins and orange ribbons.
Level 4 Highlights:
Miffy Riley placed 1st on all events and was the all around champion. She scored a 9.25 on vault, 9.6 on bars, 9.65 on beam, and a 9.525 on floor.
Debbie Musselman placed 4th all around with a 9.1 on vault, 9.35 on bars, 9.0 on beam, and a 9.0 on floor.
Lindsey Will placed 7th all around with a 8.7 on vault, 9.15 on bars, 8.4 on beam, and a 9.05 on floor.
Chloe Schettino scored a 8.6 on vault, 8.6 on bars, 8.15 on beam, and a 8.55 on floor.
