Rye Y Wave Ryeders Win First Meet of Season
Rye, NY [November 30, 2010] The Rye YMCA Wave Ryeders swim team won their first dual meet of the season November 21
in Scarsdale against the Mid Westchester JCC Stingrays. The tone was set by a partisan standing room only crowd that arrived early and remained vocal throughout. Stingray swimmers began the event with a win in the girls 8 and under medley relay, however the powerful Wave Ryeder team quickly struck back and took the lead. The JCC tried to turn the tide at the end with a strong performance in the relays. Ultimately Rye’s depth provided the difference and the winning margin was over 50 points.
