A FUNomenal Gymnastics Meet for the Rye Y

Rye, NY [October 26, 2010]  The Rye YMCA gymnastics team is already in great form. They kicked off the season at the gymnasticsFUNomenal Flippers Invitational in Glastonbury, CT on October 23 with five other teams. Rye Y gymnasts Caitlyn Walsh and Jackie Reith both won first place all around championships and the team Level 4 gymnasts won second place overall. 

Level 4 Highlights:
8 year old age division:
Caitlyn Walsh was the first place all around champion and first place on vault with a 9.45, first place on bars with a 9.15, first place on floor with a 9.5 and 9.1 on beam.
9-10 year old age division:
Ilana Serin was the seventh place all around champion with an 8.15 on vault, 8.25 on bars, 8.3 on beam, 8.2 on floor.
11- 12 year old age division:
Jackie Reith was the first place all around champion and first place on beam with a 9.1, 8.55 on vault, 8.45 on bars, 8.4 on floor.
Lily Donohue was the second place all around champion and first place on bars with a 8.75, second on beam with a 8.9, second on floor with a 8.5, and an 8.35 on vault.
Alex Meyer was the seventh place all around champion with a 8.4 on vault, 8.5 on bars, 8.6 on beam, 8.2 on floor.
Maggie Semprevivo placed fourth on floor with a 8.5, vault 8.25, bars 8.15, beam 7.7.
Level 5 Highlights:
12 year old age division:
Hannah Yeager scored a 8.2 on vault and a  8.0 on beam.
Colleen DeConcini scored a 8.1 on vault and a 8.5 on beam.

 12 year old age division:
Chloe Schettino was the fourth place all around champion and the first place on vault with a 9.1, second on beam with a 8.4, fourth on floor with a 8.2, and fifth on bars with a 8.0.
