Active Older Adult Fitness
Limbercize, offered at the Wainwright House, is free to adults 62 years and older. Warm-up then stretch out as you progress through this non-aerobic fitness class. The primary function is to maximize your flexibility while improving muscle tone by working through a complete range of motion. (No registration required). 8 week Fall-Proof Class - Ages 60+ Co-Ed
Specially developed for The Obsborn Retirement Home, this
course is based on the work of Dr. Debra J. Rose and consists of
8 weekly classes which will help older persons develop the skills
they need to help prevent falling. Gait, Center-of Gravity, Postural,
and Multi-sensory skills will all be addressed. Each class section
is limited to 4 students to insure individual attention.
These early afternoon classes are held in the Osborn Home
Fitness Center on an on-going basis.You will be grouped
according to a self-assessment after registering and given a start

Rye YMCA members 65+ may attend the following Active Older Adult programs at the Osborn:
- Stretch Class
- Gentle Chair Yoga
- Water Exercise Class
- Tai Chi
- P.A.C.E. (People with Arthritic Can Exercise)
Members wishing to participate at the Osborn must first call the Rye YMCA Fitness Director at 967-6363, ext 206 at the beginning of each calendar year. Limit 45.
