The Rye Y has provided programs and services to residents of Rye, Harrison, Larchmont and Mamaroneck for close to 100 years. Our primary cause is to strengthen the foundation of community through a focus on three areas: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. At the Rye Y, no one is turned away because of an inability to pay. Thanks to the generosity of donors, fundraising special events, grants, foundations, and hundreds of volunteers, the Rye Y proudly delivered close to $800,000 in free, subsidized or sponsored programs and services to thousands of Sound Shore residents last year, ensuring the availability of the Y’s benefits to those most in need.

We accomplish our mission-focused work by providing:

•Financial Aid: allows hundreds of kids, adults, and families to attend summer camp and enjoy the spirit mind and body programs of the Y.

•Program Subsidies: support important programs/services such as community special events and pool time, child care, and teen initiatives.

•Community Outreach: extends the mission of the Y beyond our facility (e.g., edible gardens, Safe Routes to School, school recess, Healthy Kids Day)

community benefit

As a proud member of the Sound Shore community, the Rye Y is extremely grateful for the support of municipal leaders, school officials, non-profit partners and other organizations who collaborate with us every day to make a difference in the long lasting health and wellbeing of our community.
