The Freestyle Fitness Zone
The Freestyle Fitness Zone is a specially designed place (in the former Fitness Annex space) to practice “functional” exercise techniques that integrate core, balance, flexibility and strength training. The equipment in the Zone is designed to get the whole body moving and to encourage family and group workouts. The equipment includes TRX suspension trainers, 40 foot ropes, kettlebells and espinner bikes.
Free micro classes are scheduled throughout the week to help members learn how to use the space and equipment. The 15 minute group sessions include bodyweight training, a TRX tutorial, kettle bell coaching, family fitness, ropes training and balance and core stability exercises.
The Zone is open for those 8 years and over accompanied by an adult during Family Time. and for teens ages 12 and up. There is always staff monitoring the Annex use. Click here for a schedule of of hours and micro-classes.
